My 2006 DCSB 4x4 Taco currently has lift coils on the front and rear AALs from Toytec. The front end sits a little lower than I would like, but I am unsure how I would like to go about lifting it a little more. I understand that aftermarket UCA's are recommended for anything over a 2.5"-3" lift. I'm trying to stay away from a coil spacer lift. Since the Toytec lift coils in the front already have the truck lifted approximately 2.5", would a shock that boasts up to 2" of lift actually lift the front of my truck 2 inches or would the coils provide affect that? And if so, what other ways could I go about lifting it? I'm really new to a lot of this stuff and I didn't want to sound like an idiot on TW (because I've seen what you guys do to people like that on here ;) ) but I couldn't find anything that answered my question. Anyone that can help me out here is appreciated. I'm trying to learn as I go so thanks

EDIT: All questions have been answered. It's amazing how much you can learn in a few months from TW.

    Welcome to TW.

It is a little unclear on your current setup. You say you have OEM coils (stock) up front but the truck is lifted 2.5" up front. Did you mean OME? (Old Man Emu). But then you say you have Toytec coils up front?

Height adjustable shocks like the Bilstein 5100s can add additional lift using the same springs. However, it does not matter how the lift is achieved, if you have 2.5"+ you will likely still need UCAs. Which rear AAL did you get? Is your goal to sit level? I'm personally not a fan of level as when you add weight in the bed then you get rear squat.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for being unclear in my post. I currently have Toytec lift coils up front with the Toytec AAL in the rear. If I were to install the Bilstein 5100s in the front with the lift coils after installing UCA's, would it still provide the lift that Bilstein advertises?

Yes. If you have the Toytec 1.6" lift coils (http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/ToytecEibach-front-coil-lift-springs_p_14.html) and you add the Bilstein 5100s (http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...able-5100-front-and-rear-5100-shock_p_31.html), you can add additional lift to the existing springs.

The 5100s have 4 settings, 0, .85" 1.75" 2.5". Since you already have 1.6" from the springs, you wouldn't want to set them higher than .85", which would give you about 2.45" lift. Keep in mind the higher the lift setting on the 5100s the stiffer the ride. At that height you are also likely looking at needing UCAs for a proper alignment.

Are you on stock shocks now?

@DCSBFTMFW The one and only ;) I wanted to be DangLookAtBo on here also but I figured I'd catch too much crap about it:D
