Hello TW friend's, (I am a daily lurker, but I only log in when I have something to ask/add)

So I decided it was time for some seat covers and was planning on getting some Wet Okole's in the original interior color.

Can someone with knowledge help me with the color and specs? My interior is Gray or Charcoal? I do not know what color will match the best, I know I can order swatches but to be honest I would rather not bother the extra step. Any tips on installation? Should I get the counsel cover as well. It looks like they have sale and it will cost me about $400 or so.

Any and all advice would be welcomed and appreciated.

Attached are pics of my seats and door vin, and the Tacoma.

(if you care). Original owners, V6, 2003, 4X4, TRD, SR5, MT, 134K miles. It just sits in the garrage in case I want to ride my bicycle or need a bag of mulch.

Thank you Peter in San Antonio

Get the swatches. It's well worth it before shelling out the money. I've purchased two sets from them, and did swatches both times.

I did a charcoal and black with half piping first time, they lasted extremely well, over 10 years I had them in there. Piping started to wear through a few years ago on driver's side, and then finally the main seat started to wear. Seats underneath looked new. Got new ones last year in teal, cause my wife wanted something splashier. Got the seat heaters with them, too, which was nice for a change.

Oh, and don't worry about the sale ending... I swear it's constant I'm getting an email saying they're running another sale, with identical discount to the one before. CHeck out the below, hahaha. I should prolly unsubscribe!

I got a set of covers from them and while the fit is great, the durability was not. I don't thrash around in my truck and still they started to wear out in a couple years. At first I was good about removing them and cleaning/protecting with wet okole's own products. The sun beats them up and they just wear out too soon for the price. I would not buy again simply because they don't hold up as well as they should. But what does anymore....?

Actually my driver's side bottom portion wore out so badly I paid out of pocket for a new replacement. Once that one also started to fail I said fuck it.

Like already stated, get the swatches. It’s worth it. They are nice seat covers and look stock. If you are rough on your seats, work truck etc. then get a tougher set like sportsman’s or camo covers.

Mostly cosmetic but she ain’t stock(looking) anymore.
I went with black(much darker than my pic)I liked the contrast with the grey interior, they fit like a glove and were easy to install. Yes they are pricey but are custom made and of high quality, the neoprene actually makes my seat more comfortable and yes get the center console cover. Best for getting in your truck with wet trunks, that’s what they’re made for! Wet O’kole(Ass),very popular with the surfers/water sports people.

I have black with the grey centers. Dig em. They do need to be washed with wetsuit cleaner, but you can do it without removing them, I like O'Neil wetsuit wash. Smells nice and it keeps them from drying out. Used it for decades on wetsuits.

Yeah I like that you can keep ‘em on to clean them but I throw a big beach towel over my driver side most of the time so stays pretty clean. I usually just spot ‘em with a wet microfiber but will try some wetsuit wash. Get da 2 for 1, clean seats and cab freshener!

Thank you all for the responses and information.

I'll order the swatches today to confirm the color. As far as durability, I'm not worried about it, I average less than 500 miles a year.

I'll post back once I get and install them.

The wetsuit wash is recommended, keeps them conditioned so they don't dry out, I use it for a quick cleaning every few months.
