    Hello friends,

I could not find anywhere that talked about what is behind the liner in the back of the truck. There is a lot of discussions about adding D rings and what not but for my purpose, I have some questions.

I want to mount the 4-gallon roto at the back of the bed. Center if possible. I have both types of mounts for the roto, the circular mounts for each lock, and/or the mounting plate seen in the image.

So my question is, what is behind there? is there anything that can be drilled into? Do you think the plastic is enough to hold a 30 pound tank and if so, how would you mount to it?

Behind that is the cab itself. The plastic IS the bed. As long as the load is dispersed, and the mounting points tied into the floor of the bed, it could handle the weight. Maybe a molle panel to mount the cans on.

Get under the truck and look up there ;)

Strength-wise 30 lb Rotopax should be fine as long as you use sufficiently-sized backing plate(s).

I ended up using the JB weld Plastic bonder High Strength. Made it easy and it is on there for good. I couldn't pull it off. Very happy with the results. Thanks for the input and response. IMG_8432.jpg
