i just renewed my registration and it was $406. I pay about $900 for insurance. Insurance will vary greatly depending on where you live. Low crime areas are much cheaper than moderate to high crime areas.

Why the heck don’t you prisoners of the People’s Republik of Komiefornia rise up with pitch forks, tar and feathers and drive your evil masters into the sea? :annoyed:

They are an armor piercing ice pick that no agency or military in the world that has ever used one against a live target still uses afterwards...due to them having the fight stopping ability of an ice pick...which is to say, none at all. Peru used the P90 in a terrorist incident and immediately ditched the weapon afterwards, claiming a complete lack of satisfactory performance. Houston PD was the first US LE agency to use them in an OIS and ditched them immediately afterwards. The round is basically a 5.56mm without any fragmentation whatsoever...and we all know how effective a non-fragmenting 5.56mm is. (whoops...was that my out-loud voice?)

Sorry for the thread drift.:D:duel:

I'm 23 Male with a squeaky clean driving record in San Diego and pay $2000 a year for insurance.
My first registration renewal was about $380.

Because most of the residents of California need a safe space. Seriously, the people of this state have no idea who or what they are electing into office. Having worked outside the state for long periods of time I am seriously considering getting out. Sad thing is most states want nothing to do with Californians.

That's the thing, the county in CA I would be living in is amongst the highest in auto theft but I'm 45 minutes away from the urban area and on a farm outside of town. Insurance doesn't care that I'm not in the city and my insurance is still high.

Few years ago the county was #1 in auto theft in the state of CA.

Where exactly in California are you moving to? It's a giant state with a diverse set of locations and people. If you're not in tech then stay away from the Bay Area lol.

Discalimer: I'm old and have a perfect record. I also have about 14 different policies with State Farm so I get preferential pricing.
I just bought my 2017 brand new 2 weeks ago. Tags on the truck were $1000. My insurance is about $1000 a year for the most comprehensive coverage I can possibly purchase; bcuase:
    a) Commifornia drivers SUCK. As a primary motorcycle rider I am cognizant of the FACT that 3 out of 5 drivers have their GD cellular phones plastered to their fat faces which causes crashes.
    b) I live in San Diego which is 20 mins from Tijuana. Many TJ drivers come to work in SD and circumstantially drive POS's who couldn't afford to replace my new truck if they totalled it while texting their compadres in TJ...

I've lived in Southern California my entire life. I love it here. The high cost of living and inflated property values are inversely proportionate to the amount of days i can spend outside in shorts and flipflops - so - totally worth it to me...
