Worrying about registration fees in California is like worrying about the tip during ass rape.

 

How did you get 80 for that? What type of coverage? I'm in AZ and I pay 170. I've had 0 accidents, but I'm 27..

 

My tags were 360.00 bucks.1000.00 cant be right.unless your truck was 100,000 bucks.Just sayin.

I bought my 2017 Off Road in CA back in April of the current year, and haven't had to renew it yet, so no idea what my fees will be. Also, I have disabled license plates, which I know from my last two vehicles will be about 20 - 25% lower, as the commie asshats actually eliminate one of the many fees when you have disabled plates, I just don't recall exactly which fee that is.

I have USAA, about $90/month. I live in a fairly rural northern CA county. I am single, 50, with a clean DMV record. Must be my "white, male privilege"

Isn't sales tax for cars capped at 6%? or is it whatever the sales tax is in your county?

Reason I ask is because for example, farm equipment in CA is taxed at a special rate of 2%.

 

According to google it’s a cool 9%.
