If it was a true Canbus system then the computer would reprogram for the LED's. It did on my Harley!

Sam you seem to know about the leds here. I just got my 16 Tacoma last night and the lights have to be converted to leds. Can you recommend a kit for the interior and also a good set if known for projector h/l and fog lights?
As for Harleys I have a 12 CVO and have to install a load equalizer to convert my front turn signals, Im in the process of doing that.
    Thanks.

Hi CVOTRDSPORT and welcome to the forum. I have not touched the interior lights but there are some posts from people that have. There have not been any LED's good enough to go in the projector Low housing. Those that may be a candidate are too long as they have the fan housing on the back(ie.. VLED) and there is no clearance for those. Besides the light disperses and you have a spread instead of a beam. Most have been going to Morimoto H11B HID lights from The Retrofit Source. They have the 16 Tacoma kit($150). I put the VLED LMZ Platinum in the Hi-Beam. The suggestion is to move the collar all the way back(bulb all the way out) and adjust so the leds are sideways(not up and down). There are many choices for the Fogs... and most do a fair job(but again they are LED and the light is a spread instead of a beam). I used Xenon Depot LED H11 Headlight and foglight kit. For the tail lights I used the VLED RED 21 LED 7443 7440 STANDARD BASE | 1 PAIR (2 sets) with a pair of VLR HD 6ohm load resistors(from VLED). Istallation was pretty straight forward and took about 10 mins once I identified the 2 wires to splice.

    Hi Sam,

For the rear reds did you use the VLEDS Triton's or the stand alone bulbs?

    Thanks!

I used the standalone labeled as posted. There are no all white. Most are white/amber so I went with the red 170 lumens. Work well!

    Thanks Sam B,

I just ordered the VLED LMZ Platinums for my High Beams, how are yours working out?
