I willl be adding some 5100s soon and want to know what else I need to add if I run 275 or 285s. Will I need to trim so the tires don’t rub or is there something else I can do??? I really would like to stay away from trimming if I can.

I am also curious what sort of MPGs you get with the larger tires. I do a lot of driving (5000 miles a month) and I expect a decline in mpg but how bad is it?

I'm running 285s on stock rims (with 1.25" spacers) with a 3" lift and I had to do some lite trimming. The 5100s will only take you up to a max of 2.5" so you'll probably have to do more trimming than I did if you go with 285s. And I'm not sure how close you'll get to the body mount.

If you put them on stock rims without spacers, you won't have to trim fenders, but you'll rub your UCAs. Or, just get aftermarket rims with 4.5" backspace.
