    G'day Tacoma drivers

Contemplating installing a winch. For my purposes and use, research suggests, initially, I can get away with a cradle mount and a new front receiver install. As I have the OEM towing package I could be up and running quickly.

    The questions:

    1. If I cradle a 8000 or 10,000lb pulling capacity winch, will the receiver mounts with-stand the forces of the winch's pulling power, or is this a really poor way to go?

    2. Is there electric kits (necessary lengths of cables and connectors/plugs to transmit power to the rear of the truck) or is it DIY?

Thanks in advance for answering either or both questions.

    Cheers
    Bob
