Hello all. Last week I purchased my first truck. I overpaid for it a bit (22k) but I knew if I passed it up I would likely never come across this configuration again. When I was looking there were a couple requirements: 4x4 and Crew Cab. I really wanted a M/T but would have taken an A/T for the right truck. I also really wanted the truck to be white. Didn't care about milage much.

I picked up 2007 SW Crew Cab Tacoma with the 6 speed manual transmission. It is 4x4 with 112 thousand miles. Everything I wanted!

In driving it, I realize that the transmission needs a lot of care and time when shifting (I know it's a truck). Coming from a 6 speed in the 07 Civic Si I traded in, I am still acclimating to it. I do have a few questions about the transmission though:
    1. What is the ideal RPM to cruise at for the best MPG?
    2. We have VERY aggressive speedbumps where I live and there are three of them very close to each other. I press in the clutch to go over the first one (~3mph), when I let off the clutch accelerate to the next speedbump, press in the clutch there is a rumble. I don't really know how to explain it any other way. What could this be?
Also, can anyone tell me if it looks lifted or not? I know the tires are a bit bigger, they are 32s I believe. Noob question but how could I tell if its lifted or not, what should I be looking for?

Stick your head under there and look for spacers and shock brand. Change all the fluids and keep her on a schedule.

Try to keep the rpms around 2k for good mph. I don't know about the rumble.

I hope I get 22k after 8 years of service from my sport. Congrats on the new truck.

Figured out that it is lifted with a spacer kit and that is likely the cause for the vibration. Sad day. Time to look for something more durable. Thanks Drivesector!

I'm pretty sure I just wasn't used to it yet. It's much smoother. Still trying to get used to the truck tranny though lol big change!
