So, I am new to the Tacoma world! First time owner. Just got my new 2025 Tacoma sr5 and currently has 6000 miles on it. Got into a little fender bender last night and was not at fault (tragic I know). However, I am getting it fixed through insurance and have the option to get it fixed with the money the insurance gives me. The only damage was to the grill and front bumper. (It is very minor damage)

The main reason I got the SR5 was because I wanted to eventually upgrade everything my way instead of just paying more for higher level trims incase I changed those parts out too.

My question is should I go and get OEM parts to fix it with or should I use this as an excuse to upgrade the bumpers and grill? I was planning on upgrading these parts anyway but obviously not this soon. If I get the heritage Tacoma grill will there be any problems with the sensors that isn’t an easy fix for calibration? And what mod bumper kits would you guys recommend?

Ideally, I prefer the heritage / TRD grill over the OEM and for a bumper with that comes with a light bar and just overall bada$$ look. I assume if I changed both these parts out I should have a way to not hinder any of the sensors and I could install a switch to turn the new light bar on and off. The main thing I am concerned with is if it hinders any of the cruise control sensors, parking sensors, etc.

What would you guys recommend in this situation?

The truck is completely bone stock as of now. Is there any upgrades like lift or suspension or tires I should do before an aftermarket bumper? Or will that not really matter? That is my only hesitation.
