I want to put winter tires on my Taco before picking it up this week (winter could happen any time where I live) and thought I might as well do it before taking delivery. I'm looking for safety, stability and functionality of course, but let's be honest, I want that certain badass look as well. My dealership wants to sell me Toyo Observe GSI 5 for about $300 each. A tire shop swears by Goodyear Wrangler duratec. Looking for yays or nays on the above, and/or suggestions for something else. Include a black wheel selection too if you have one.

Second, these protection packages and extended warranties just feel like a cash grab. Can I get some opinions as to which (if any) of these things you guys have selected? Undercoating, rust-proofing, upholstery, 3m...paint coating???

    Thanks!

What do you mean by "winter tires"? Are you looking for a snow tire that will be seasonal and only be on 4-6 months out of the year or are you looking for a tire that is going to be on all year round?

Either way, I would purchase your tires online or through a tire shop, unless your dealer will price match. I usually shop online for the best deal then go to discount tire to price match.
