Dumb question.. is there a specific winch I’m supposed to get for the lo-pro bumper?
having a hard time finding one.

Also what’s a good site to shop for winch? Looking for a warn for sure. Thanks

You'll want to contact C4 to see what the largest size winch you can fit. Most of the low profile bumpers top out at 10k winches, and it's a tight fit. I personally run an 8k on an SSO slimline and it's been sufficient for my needs. Regardless of size, you'll probably need to relocate the control pack. It's an easy task, and nothing to sweat.

As to where to get it... wherever it's cheapest. If you're buying new, prices are generally the same across the board. If you're looking at restoring a used unit, be aware that parts, ropes and control packs are expensive and add up fast. Warn is a great (arguably the best) brand, but be aware that they have different levels of quality. There's the Chinese made Warn (VR) and the US made Warn. Do your research and pick what best suits your needs.

I'm running a Warn 10K on my SSO. I didn't relocate the control pack but instead just removed the little crossmember piece of tin that's in the way. As said, you need to reach out to C4 and see what they say fits. Some require you have one that can relocate the control pack, some don't require that.

You should do a little research, it's far from a "fancy replacement for a winch hook". The standard hook works fine, sure, but the Factor 55 stuff (if used correctly) provides a ton more safety.

I'm pretty sure you can still get amber fogs that are SAE and road legal.

Fog lights yes, but not a bar. I may be wrong but I don't think you can get any bar that's SAE approved. If so, the legality of the bars for road use is the same between amber and clear.

are you running the VR Evo or Zeon? Can you provide more detail on the cross member piece? Is it supporting anything and is it a bolt on/off piece or is cutting needed?

VR and Zeon will both be the same. The cross member is a cut to remove part. Some remove it and don’t replace it and some fab a new piece up to replace it. You can see in this thread the piece, he fabricated a new piece in this example. I’ve had no downsides to just removing it. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...nstall-guide-how-to-article-with-tips.545427/
