I have a few questions regarding the install of a Renogy DCC30S charge controller.
Renogy recommends size 10-8 cable from start battery to controller, I’ll go with 8, just want to confirm that is adequate.
Where did you tap for the ignition wire. Renogy say if it’s a smart alternator tap right off the alternator, don’t want to go that way if it’s not necessary. Does a 2020 SR 2.7 even have a smart alt? I checked voltage at battery while idling for 10 min and it stayed at around 13.9 volts.
Lastly, how did you run the cables into the bed? I’m trying to avoid drilling holes but if I have to then I have to.
    Thanks
