    I did the same except I used a D ring for the extra tie down.

    Amazon Toyota D rings. Home Depot galvanized carriage bolt ( the one with the rounded top), washers and nut. Painted them black, let them dry and then installed.

    Also I used 3 or 4 washers under the bed mat so the mat surface remained level when I tightened it down.

    I just read you post all of the way thru. My truck has 3 drain holes under the mat up next to the cab. I used the middle hole.

    2007 Prerunner V6 DCSB. One in the middle, one on each side on the cab side. All 3 are about 1.5 inches back from the cab inside the bed.

    I just did this very good and cheap mod to deter possible thief's . Super easy to do , btw the hole is 1/4 in case someone need to know .
