So I decided to try out a gazelle tent this summer, thought these quick Fists would be a nice way to strap it to my roof rack. Is this safe? Is it going to fly off on the highway getting to the trails? I don't have any experience with Quick Fists but I see them mentioned here quite often. The rear one I was just able to get on the first notch.

This is the most expensive tent I've ever bought, the last thing I want is for it to go flying off haha. They claim to hold 50 lbs (per Quick Fist?) and the tent weighs around 35 lbs I believe. But it seems quite wobbly.

How do you guys that have a Gazelle carry it to/on the trails?

Bunch of stuff bolted on, some cool, some not
That looks pretty sketchy in my completely unprofessional opinion. I've got a couple of quickfist mounts and they have never let go on me, however they're all in the bed where there's no wind resistance. Anything I strap to the roof that is taking full on freeway speed winds, I always use a ratchet strap, and usually more than one. Just my worthless internet rando $0.02 though. I would hate it if something flew off my ride and caused an accident, it would haunt me.

I'd just add one of the light lashing straps with a cam buckle or a bungie in the middle to be safe

I always carry an assortment of straps, think I'll just be on the safe side and use those haha
