    From PowerandPlay.com

"We were told by PIAA late last week that they should be shipping the end of this month. Of course that is what they told us in December. Currently PowerandPlay.com has 8 sets on order in both the USA and Canada."

Thinking about just getting a avid light bar now, and wiring up all four lights at the same time once PIAA releases the 5454 kit.

Went ahead and ordered this... 2005-2008 2009 TOYOTA TACOMA OEM FOG LIGHTS+SWITCH LAMP http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=150408883261
I know it is not complete and am going to have to do some wiring. I wanted to avoid that with the PIAA kit. I probably should have gone the light bar route too til the PIAA's come out but could not wait.

That's what alot of other guys have put into their trucks on here... at least it comes with a fairly decent wiring harness, even if you do have to mod it some to work to your needs...

I have this kit in yellow. No issues at all...works great. I did mod the harness to work with a Toyota rocker switch.....no biggie though.

I would rather have had the yellow, but these will work. Did ya have any other issues with the wiring other than with the switch?

Thanks for the pix, looks good. I like the yellow fogs better. Since my clears are in the mail, I'll have to stay with those for the time being.
I like the Avid light bar too!

Is your truck Black? Cant tell from the photos.

Not yet. I was supposed to get them today thru Fedex. But Fedex had a delay due to the weather so I will get them tomorrow...... maybe.

I hate Fedex, they're tracking sux and usually my packages look like they had been playing hockey with them!

OK got the kit today and am for the most part satisfied.
The lamps popped in no problem just like the OEM's. The wiring harness from there to the engine compartment is
more than enough. (I routed them thru a large precut opening on the drivers side where the AC plumbing goes thru)
The wiring harness from there is confusing and does not match the wiring diagram that they supply. I had to use this walkthough (excellent btw)
    http://www.yourtacoma.com/faq/index.php?sid=18461〈=en&action=artikel&cat=6&id=3&artlang=en

I am almost done but will have to finish tomorrow .. is got too dark and cold to do anymore.
I have to extend the wires for the switch (18 ga. yellow, black, and red) since the one in the harness is way too short.
You'll also need a spade connector to connect positive wire to battery, and I got 18-22 ga. quick splice connector for one wire that splices into your parking lamp POS wire.
The switch is too small so ordering the OEM tonight, but it will do for now.
Gonna fab the switch wire extension tonight so I can finish up tomorrow afternoon.

I think the switch is actually designed to fit the blanks down by the 12v port/cig lighter....hence the size.

Well, slap me silly! LOL I didn't know that they were there! I only have had the truck for 3 weeks so still learning!

The switch wires that came with the harness are way too short to reach there or even the OEM location so I have made an extension. I also have the OEM switch in the mail.
Unfortunately, don't know when I can finish this up, It is snowing like crazy atm and I do not have a garage!

    Thanks..

Still want the PIAA's but these do alright for being an OEM knockoff. Have em aimed a little high but will have to adjust em later, have 4 inches of water around the house.

I have not seen the PIAA lamp bracket, but I think (now that I have done it) it would be a harder install than these OEM-clones. I will still get PIAA lamps to mount on the
Avid light bar when I get that.

Well, Been awhile since i visited this, but Amazon now shows that they themselves have the PIAA 5454 kit in stock but in limited quantities. I went ahead and ordered one. $255 Shipped. I had bought the Hella 500ff's from walmart for my avid offroad bar that is supposed to be delivered tuesday this week, but now i think i am going to return them and get piaa 540 fogs. What i will likely do is put the driving lights that come with the 5454 kit on the avid bar, and put the 540 fogs into the fog location on the bumper.

Should turn out nice. I'll let you all know how it works out, and maybe post some pics of how they install up.

    Hi All,

Today I installed the All Pro bumper and PIAA fogs. I must be an idiot because the fogs dont work. I kept blowing fuses and finally switched to a 30 fuse, that blew too.

I wired it using the existing stock harness. I took the white and black from the piaas and matched it up with the white and green from the stock wiring. Is this not right?

Am I an idiot? What am I doing wrong?

    Please help...
