I've got my driveline removed except from my rear differential. I can't slip it out. Any advice? I'm pulling and wiggling and hammered...not sure what i'm missing. I have 30 minutes to an hour of light left! Any help is appreciated!

Remove the 4 bolts and get a BFH and hit it a bit. It will come lose. Remember it needs to go away from the diff toward the front of the truck.

Okay, took the advice and stopped pussyfooting around. Here's what I ended up with:

    In the diff:

    On the shaft:

Am I effed? Or am I good to go? No yoke slipped out like on what I have seen from other people.

Not exactly how mine came out but it should be fine. That ring that protrudes form the flange on the driveshaft side stayed on the diff side when I separated mine. Never the less it should go back together the same. Hard to tell from the picture.

Thanks man. Nothing looks broken but there was a fair but of metal shavings. I'll swap the u joints and bolt it up and see I guess! Thanks for the advice so far!

I may just not be remembering correctly. Mine might have came out that way. Regardless OP should be fine.

Well, put one new u-joint in as it got dark and it's not spinning smooth. I'll give it hell tomorrow. Thanks for the confidence boost!

Rear u joint is on a flanged setup as you found (this is the same setup on the front most joint of the 4x4's). you then have to remove the circlips and press out the caps to replace the u joint just as you would at the center u joint.

Make sure to mark everything before dissassembling the u joints to remain balanced.
