So I'm new here, searched extensively and found lots of bits and pieces of information on a somewhat cost effective setup using bilstein 5100's. But mostly the info seems to be for 2nd gens and earlier.

It sounds like I should avoid add a leafs, and go with a full leaf pack.
I will be doing 99% on pavement driving. This is mostly for look but I'd rather build for function than save $400.

Here's what I have in my cart and I could use a quick idiot check before I go and order and back myself into a corner.

Truck is a 2021 TRD Sport Premium Double Cab.

Great kit. As far as full leaf pack you definitely don’t need that for looks. Get yourself a 3 leaf AAL you will be good. I have a long bed with same lift.

    Good Luck OP

AALs are fine. You just need to be careful, it's not that hard. Save a few bucks in my book.
Your cart looks good to me for a better setup. Just double and triple check part numbers, I've saved my own butt a few times checking.

IF you are trying to get the least expensive lift and will not go off pavement then you can do spacers in the rear. They will be fine for on-road only use.

I do light off-roading so I went with an AAL in rear. Depends on your budget.

I am not able to see what you have in your cart but $1500 sounds reasonable for a lift if it is an AAL.. seems a bit high if it is a block kit.

You need the UBOLT flip pad to go with the UBOLTs. Didn’t see them in the photo.

also, I had AAL and it went flat so if you carry any weight then the leaf pack will serve you better

How much weight were you carrying? I researched a bit before I went that route and seemed to be good at holding up a RTT (with gear and stuff roughly 400lbs)

Chances are you will be upgrading to a full leaf pack in a year or so

99% pavement. Depending how much lift you want. Get the bilsteins and coils and throw a 1” or 2” block in the back and call it day. Now if your planning on really going off-road then a progressive aal pack or the full pack would be the way to go for the rear. God luck.

You may want to consider Eibach coils. There have been many reports of the Ole Man Emu coils sagging on 3rd gens.

Dobinsons is another option. Shocks are reported to be smoother than OME, coils have a sagging warranty, and leaf packs are supposedly less squeaky than OME/Dakar. I only have ~7k miles on my Dobinsons setup, but it has been good so far.

i was under the impression that all lifts need a new upper control arm and some kind of relocation kit......no?

It appears you only need UCA's if you're going over 2.5" in the front, same with the relocation kit.

I decided to go with the Eibach coils on your recommendation. They were cheaper anyhow and I've had good past experiences with the brand.
I also just bought their block at the same time because it was only $90 and will give me the the 1" I need. If I end up seeing my suspension go flat or want more I'll change the rear springs later.

i also believe that most lift jobs end up needing to "cab chop" or alter the wheel housing in some way to make room for all the bigger stuff

If you do decide to go with the ome dakars, trim the second leaf so that they don't chew up your shackles

I am 2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear with stock UCA's and no sway bar relocation and have lots of clearance.

If you're looking to save money I'd use the stock coil spring and an AAL. Otherwise looks good.
