    Hello TW,
I am buying some take off shocks and struts tomorrow. They are from a 2017 Tacoma OR. I have a 2010 Tacoma that I will be putting them on. The seller asked if I wanted the upper control arms as well (take offs).
My question is, will the upper control arms work on my 2010?
    Thanks,
    Rick

I'm like 99% certain they'll fit. Aftermarket UCAs are marketed as '05+ meaning they work on 2nd and 3rd gens, so I don't see why the factory ones wouldn't be the same.

So, should I grab them as well? Any benefit in putting them on my old truck?

The only benefit is if your current UCAs are worn out and could use replacing.

I don't think so...unless your stock UCAs have worn out ball joints that need replacing, then it would be worth it only if you're getting a good price on them. Aftermarket UCAs are usually designed to be serviceable and allow for more travel, and allow for better alignment numbers with lifted trucks. Stock UCAs don't provide any of that unless the 3rd gen ones are somehow better than the 2nd gens.

    Your 2010 is NOT old.

The control arms don’t really “wear out”. The bushings and such do. But if he’s giving you a good deal might as well. I’m starting to think about doing bushings on my 06’

If you give me 2 weeks you can have my struts, rear shocks, and upper control arms off my 2015 SR5 for cheap cheap cheap. (I'm not sure what a Tacoma OR is BTW, so maybe mine won't work for you.) Either way, LMK.
