I just received my bilstein adjustable 5100s for my 01 tacoma 4x4. I want to make sure i put the clip in the right spot for the highest lift setting (about 2.5-3"). I took them out of the box and i think they are already set at the highest setting because they match the ones on the far right in this diagram... http://www.carid.com/images/bilstein/suspension-systems/pdf/24-186988-installation-instructions.pdf
It only has 3 options but I'm guessing thats because its a different model but they should all be relatively the same right? I'm worried because cause everyone has been saying that they come at the lowest setting but mine look like the opposite.

And btw i ordered mine from Wheeler'soffroad.com and received great service.

If the snap ring is in the groove closest to the top then it's on the top setting..

The 5100's come with three lift settings 0" , 1.25" , 2.5" I have heard from another member in here that the ones he just bought have 4 settings so they may have changed it. If you want the 2.5 setting then then the clip should be at the top setting. Are you sure your not looking at them upside down? In this pics there are 4 settings so it's just for reference but you can see the small ring clip is on the bottom-0" setting.1011or_03_+bilstein_5100_leveling_shocks_toyota_tacoma_2wd_prerunner+5100_shock.jpg

The newer ones have 4 settings, I just set mine to .85 last week. The guy that did it for me didn't believe me until he got the shocks off lol. Not sure when they made the change but I got mine about 3 months ago.

edit: I just realized, yeah that was me you were talking to a couple weeks back about it lol.
