Quick Question About Hauling Gravel

Just don’t use the rear view mirror to back up. Look back over your shoulder and it is a piece of cake!

 

I used to pull an 8 ft trailer and a 12 ft trailer from time to time. The 8 ft was way harder to back because it turned so fast at the slightest turn of the wheel.

OP, take the trailer to an empty parking lot and practice backing it into a spot a few times. You'll get the hang of it quick.

 

Hold the steering wheel at the bottom! Then remember, “your hand moves in the direction you want the trailer to go”.

when I was a kid I was trying to back up a small trailer with my college Mini Baja race buggy we were building. I was awful. A gardener who was clearly tired of watching my horrid trailer ballet cane and told me that. Game changer for my simple mind.
