Rustoleum sells a good one i've used, but to really do a job right, you need wire brush the surface to get any heavy rust scale off first before using it.

I’ve used it many times and surprisingly it really works. This one is from NAPA.

I can't think of anything less important than corrosion control at a nuclear power plant!

    I want to believe you’re kidding…right?

If not, I don’t think most people realize how wide spread corrosion issues are on every single sector of our life. Seriously, corrosion effects a portion of everything you do. Name something and I’ll give an example.

The criticality of nuclear operations is definitely no exception.

Yeah, nuclear plant chemistry is kind of a big deal for multiple reasons. First off, you don't want the power plan pipes corroding from the inside out as you don't know you have a problem until you have a very big problem! Also, corrosion products suspended in solution in the reactor coolant passes through the reactor during operations and those corrosion particles then become radioactive corrosion particles and increase the level of radioactivity in the coolant.

We had a sign over the door to the chemistry lab on the sub that said "It's Us or Rust!" :)

    At least the frames.

We did a few Transmission lines with cor-ten poles. I think some rookie engineer thought they were camouflaged, even though they were in the middle of a 100' clear cut r/w :D
