    Hey I have this annoying squeak from the hood latch.( I know it's the hood latch cuz I undo the hood while driving and it goes away. My sanity comes back haha. I sprayed it with silicone and it gets better but it but comes back. I have tried to research it and don't really find a real solution besides spraying it.

    I don't know if this could be the culprit since it looks like paint is coming off plastic looking stickers are the problem?

    either corner of the hood there are rubber bumpers, they are threaded ( very coarse) give each a 1/4 turn out, maybe 1/2 turn, pay attention to hood edges, one side may end up higher than the other

    I have a 2015 Tacoma...same squeak issue...dealer put lube on the clip that hols the prop rod in place...that prop rod clip is where the squeak was coming from....UGH... now i pay more attention to that clip.
