I have a Toytec ultimate lift and Dakar leafs, I was wondering if 1 1/2" shackles will be ok to add. My rear is alittle lower than the front and want to bring it up.

How long have you had the Toytec and Dakars?
How high did you set the coilovers?

What I'm getting at is both the coils and the Dakars will settle over time. If you've had the Dakars a long time and the coils are new, current hight is not set in stone.

Assuming you set the front's at 3", I personally wouldn't add 1.5" shackle on top of the Dakars. 1" at the most. But everybody's taste is different. If you do add more, make sure you're shock is long enough to handle the extra length.

What does "all the way" mean? How much in terms of inches did you raise the front?

with the dakars do u have the ome shackles? thats what i had(full ome kit...) my rear sat dead even with the front. i put on some 6" trail gear wide shackles (had to make custom spacers) and now i have it just how i wanted. u get half as much lift out of the length of your shackle. just remember that. OME shackles are 4 1/2" long. i added 1 1/2" so my total lift from that was only 3/4" inch. and like mentiuoned before, shocks were a must for me. do the shackles then measure for shocks. i went with billies. see build below

I have 5100s in the rear. I did reuse the OEM shackles

I don't know in terms of inchs, I just cranked the coilover up to balance the front.

Then in my opinion you're going about this the wrong way. If you have no idea how high you cranked up the fronts, you may have put too much preload on the coils. Just because there are threads available and it allows you to keep cranking, doesn't mean you should. That's why the instructions say do not lift over 3 inches.
