    Hey guys,

Have a quick question about my headlights. I have the 2016 SR5 4x4 with the SR5 Appearance package and I want to change the headlights to the limited/sport/offroad headlights with the day time running light strip. I can't seem to find the part number for those specific headlights and i'm not even sure if the headlights fit in the SR5 headlight compartment. Anyone have any idea if this will work or not? Or have the product number for it? Thanks!

I think the harness that is there already has that what he will need is the actual light dial behind the steering wheel. if he doesn't add that the DRL will still turn on with the Fog lights and the main lights but not in the off position.

I am not sure, I am asking for my benefit as well as the OP, but since the SR5 has DRLs, just not LED, couldn't you just wire the led strip to the drl power from the harness? Maybe some sort of resistor could be needed? I don't know much about wiring LEDs yet, this is why I ask.

probably so, I didn't even know the SR5 had any kind of DRL.

Yes, the SR5 has what they are calling turn drl, I guess that means the turn signal light comes on:confused:, someone with a SR5 please clarify. Also according to the brochure the same goes for the SR. In the TRD and Limited it is led drl.

It's on the headlight knob/lever, you have the option to switch it to drl, park lamps, headlights, or all off. So basically the turn drl means turning the knob to on, same as my 15 sport had.

SR and SR5 have DRLs. it is the front turn signals permanently on (the bright filament), until the headlights are on, then they are dimmed.

mine are switchback LED, so they shine orange all the time, until the headlights are on, then they change over to white (still flash orange)
so technically yes, you can simply tie the LED strip into the existing DRL wires, if you don't mind them shutting off when the headlights are on.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. I kinda like the sound of what you have set up.
Hopefully this info will help the OP as well.

Cool, its a mod I would like to do, considered but figured you needed an additional harness for the led's. GL.

could you take some pics when you do install everything? I'm considering the opposite of you. i want to add the amber dtrl you have on your sr5. I'm going it's just a pigtail that needs to be switched.
