Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
TRD Sport models from 05-08 have a mechanical LSD. From 09-present, they have an electronic LSD (Computer controlled using the braking system)

I have the Readylift on my truck. I did the install myself, the kit is great. I just had to replace the rear shocks to help with the harsh ride in the rear. Fat Bob Garage is selling a complete kit with the rear shocks. Here is a link to a thread talking about them.

From what I have learned, all you need is the ring/pinion and a master install kit to put back together. So I think for parts, it should be around $500. Do you know where you will be getting your new gears?

I was thinking the same thing. It states it is for the V6 with a 8" diff. I would look for something for a 8.4" diff so you won't have to purchase other components. IIRC, there was a member here who ordered a ring/pinion and had to purchase third member (from a prerunner) to get the gears to fit.

o shit that sucks, but when i was lookin around on the interweb everything that i saw said that an 8.4" was called an 8" inch which i thought was kinda weird but i have no idea haha

It would probably good to call to make sure it will work with our diff. Have you checked out East Coast Gears? They have been the most helpful people I have spoken with about re-gearing for my truck.

I placed an order with them for some T100 gears, 8.4" diff, 4.10 ratio, used for a $100 shipped. I got a cold back a few days later, they guy left me a voicemail message saying they did have any used parts in stock, but he said they do have some new ones for about $250. I told him no Thanks. He told me he has my number, so when he gets some used parts, he will give me a call. I am no rush to regear my truck, so I will wait. My plan is to wait for early summer before I take a fill swing and order the ring/pinion (used or new) and have it all installed with a Powertrax Locker.

wow thats awesome! i stumbled on to their site last night and they had a lot of stuff and everything was pretty cheap compaired to other places. so the T100 8" (8.4") gearin does fit out trucks? that makes me feel alot better. but im going to call them and see what i can find out too.

because i think i just may save and try to get the arb i know its ALOT of $$$ but i dont want to regreat not getting it and i like that i have the power of turning it on and off when i want. and i also like the air compressor thats nice that you can fill up tires and things like that.

and i have heard that the powertrax is werd on the roads like it ratches and clanks around corners. and sometimes you get a jump randomly when i it kicks in? i dont know have you read this?

If I had a 4x4, without a doubt I would get the ARB Air Lockers. I like the fact that you have th option of having a locked diff with the flip of a switch.

I figure I can save some money and go a different route and do a drop-in locker. I have read plenty of reviews about Powertrax to know what I should expect. I have heard it sometimes engages when going around a corner, a lower life span on tires. I have read Powertrax works well with a manual tranny, so I think it will run good w/ my truck.

I am looking forward to see how it turns out. When do you plan on getting everything installed? have you got quotes?

I already have purchased the Powertrax Lock Right from PORC. I am about to purchase a master install kit from Ebay. I am just waiting on word from East Coast Gear to purchase 4.10s. I will have it all installed after the semester is over, because it is my daily driver, I can't leave it at the shop for a full day or two. I might have 4WP do the install or a local shop near my work.

just emailed this justdifferentials guy that someone recommened to me....i gotta start saving alot more than i thought haha. 430 lockright no slip, 231 master install kit, 30 solid sleeve spacer and then 225 for 4.56 gears, totaling 918 dollars without install ( i dont think i can do it myself).
:( thats a boat load of dough, i need a better job hahah

actually i was looking into getting a civic or something, i think i found one :), for 1000 bucks and then saving up for the truck and maybe putting in 4.88 gears of maybe 5.29 since it wont be my daily driver :) hopefully it works out
