Quick tonneau cover question

My father-in-law is willing to give me his tonneau cover from his 2018 GMC Canyon long bed. Does anybody know if that will fit a 2017 Tacoma LB?

 

No, bed specs are different.

 

Chances are no. But without knowing the brand there is not much anyone can do. If you find the manufacturer, go to their website and get the part number for it, then plug in your truck info and it will probably be a completely different number. Other than taking it off and trying it, you could take some rough measurements.

 

It's a GMC factory tri fold. My initial thoughts are that of won't fit. But I'll try and see.

 

Well, this is old as hell, but in case someone else was wondering, the answer is.....yes, the cover fit. It didn't use the factory hardware, but the retention clips fit into the bed rails, and it's sit about an inch over the tailgate, which keeps water out. Not completely, but dry enough for me.
