Same. I really like the inferno color, but it would scare me that it would either age poorly, or more likely, I'd get tired of it.

Got alot of friends that are into firearms/tactical things so they all love it because its a hue lighter than FDE and that's tacticool.

First one I drove was quicksand but it had too many options for my wallet, so I went with the Inferno, which was my second color choice. Then I had my truck somewhere when the sun was rising and hitting it just right, and in that moment Inferno became my one and only.

e: I've also noticed that quicksand is a huge percentage of 3rd gen ownership in my area, and inferno not so much. I like that.

The only reason that might matter is future resale, assuming you are a 3-5 and out type buyer.

Otherwise, if you like it, buy it. Don't fret over what others think. Unless they are paying the freight.

Keep it long enough and the color won't matter. These aren't exactly collector targets.

I got comments by two more people today at the BMV. One I knew and one I didn't. Said they loved it. I said it's basically just a tan and both said that it is much more than tan and not too many vehicles in this color. One was driving a black Raptor. They both loved the hickory interior with the QS.

Most people love the color. I've been asked a few times if I'm in the military while driving too

I liked the color but was hesitant to buy it. It ended up being the color easiest / fastest to acquire when I ordered mine so that's what I got. My 16 was an inferno and I really loved that color but I think quicksand has taken the #1 spot.

There aren't other vehicles anywhere close to this color which makes it easy to find in parking lots, it hides dirt very well (I live on gravel) and it's something different. I'd definitely buy it again.

I've had nothing but positive comments, but I haven't had the truck long. I'm sure I'll take some shit eventually, but it's my favorite of the '17 colors so I don't really care.

I always go for a light color on trucks to better hide the desert pinstriping. Went silver on my last truck (gen1), and like the color, but always wanted white. Decided to go white with this one, but kept seeing the QS and really started to like it. The gf saw it and said "that's it....I love the color. Don't even think about white". Which was strange for her. I'm an earth tones kinda guy. Lotta browns, tans, subdued reds and greens in the house. Makes the gf a little nuts (too bad...I bought everything before I met her!). Surprising to me she loves the color so much.

What made me ultimately choose it is I was in a parking lot the week before I started my search to buy, and there were a dozen trucks on the small lot. Ten of them were white. Just so many damn white trucks on the road. And there was a QS tacoma in the lot. Right then I knew I'd made my choice and QS was the color.

In the short few months I've owned it, I've gotten a dozen or so comments from strangers in parking lots and stop lights. Thumbs up on the color. Never had anyone come up to me in a parking lot or stop light before with any of my other vehicles and say "hey, I love the color". But I get it quite a bit now. Along with people walking and pointing or doing double takes. Similar to when I had the ARB installed on the Gen1 back 15 years ago. Lots of looks. Kinda weird as I prefer not to "stand out" quite so much, but oh well, I love the color, so I'll take the attention hit. In a couple years once people are used to seeing the color on these trucks, I'm sure not many will give it a second look. And I'll still have the awesome QS colored tacoma.

Yup.. so many white trucks! Although the color is super clean, I wanted something more "rugged" looking... hence the quicksand.
Seems a lot of other manuf. are offering a color like this; I have seen a Wrangler, Subaru, and even a fiat in this color(or really close)

No buyers remorse on the QS color at all. I get tones of compliments and thumbs up. And a few times I've walked out to find people taking pictures of my truck, which creeps me out a bit. I don't think it needs the black fender flairs but the chrome clashes, imo and had to go. I like the black and tan look.

Got the Barcelona Red, but when it starts to deteriorate I fully plan on a quicksand wrap. Badass color.

I have 0 regrets. I do get asked if it's a stock color all the time. I love it
