Quicksand?

I do apologize if this has come up before.

I have a 2019 in Quicksand. I rarely see any Toyota product in this color. Did it catch on?

 

Where are you located? They are everywhere in nor cal.

 

It looks like quicksand is no longer available for 2021.

I see quicksand Tacoma’s in my area a couple times a week - Portland, OR.

 

I live in Thief River Falls, MN. I bought it new in Grand Forks, ND. I see lots of Toyota's, mostly in some other color. In a town of 10,000, people know where I am.

I live in So Cal and I see quite a few and I own one.

 

I have a Quicksand, love the color.
The color i see the least is Inferno.

 

I don't mind being unique, especially here in Ford country. Is this color available next year? Was there some reward for selling in this color?

 

No it got cancelled.

No. It’s just like any other colour made by any manufacturer. They decide when it’s launched and when it’s over. There is no premium for owning a Quicksand over any other colour except for the one in your head. And we’re talking toyota here, not Bentley or Rolls. ‘Quicksand’ has been on other Toyotas over the years.
Maybe in 30yrs when most of these trucks have been scrapped will there be a premium for a specific colour.

I live in the desert currently so I like not having to wash it all the time like my old dark color truck.

 

The best benefit of Quicksand. My truck would look clean for months, while my friends Black 4runner looks dirty a couple hours after washing.

I think it has been 6 months since I have washed mine. I will pressure wash it and the undercarriage after driving on salted roads though.

Quicksand is hit or miss in towns around me here in connecticut. There a few older ones in one town 20 miles from me, and a couple 25 miles from me, but so far the only 2020 quicksand has been my sr5 access cab i ordered, plus its the only access cab....all the others are double cabs. Seems the most common color by far is gray or silver, plus some white ones.

 

I've never washed mine in the nine months i've owned it, the rain takes care of that.

 

I like tan trucks and I cannot lie........
