Quieting lock/unlock beep

    THIS IS A REPEAT> Saw the thread and wanted to pass it on here too.


    I wasn't comfortable leaving the wires loose and yet the beep was killing me and my dogs. I took the mechanism out and stuffed it with some old rag I cut up and it works great IMO. It's there but only for me to hear. Hope this helps.

    Note: There are #3 Holes on the beeper. 2 smaller ones and 1 bigger. I only stuffed the bigger one and I got the result I was looking for. Thought of then wrappiong it in tape. But was rather happy without any further work.

    Removed the Mud Flaps, Rock Deflectors and Head Rest. Limo Tint, I had 3" Toytec Lift, Procomp Nitrogen ES6000 shocks and Struts. AllPro UCA, AFE Pro Dry drop in filter, WeatherTecs. Now I have LR UCA's, Maxtrac Spindles, Eibach's, 5100's up front, Expos, 5160 for the rear, U Bolt Flip Kit, and Extended Brake lines.
    ^ Thats sweet "JP". and how about disarming the horn? Well I want to have a horn but not when locking or unlocking the truck.

    +1 on the earplug in the piezo buzzer. I prefer the audible beep, but wanted to dampen it as well.
