I live full time now in Southern California and Burt's up in Portland. Burt has been building still as I'm recovering from a recent car accident.

I'll be back up and building here in Socal soon with a decent list of clients waiting.

I needed a break from it. . .

Hey guys, I emailed and PM'd earlier this week and haven't hear back so I'm trying it here. I've had my lights in for less than 6 months. I was wondering what my options are for this.

Sorry to see that as it looks like that's a isolated incident as I've never seen this occur previously. Thats an easy fix and Burt can take care of it for you.

Contact Burt directly as he'll take care of this issue for you. I hope he does as its an issue that needs to be address since thats his work.

I've left RECHELON since December 2016 and I'm back in Socal since. He currently is still building and has all the warranty/access to assist you directly.

This may be a long shot....

I was part of this group buy in 2016. I have a 2015 and had a retrofit set built with OEM housings. One of my bulbs went bad.

This may be a dumb question, but what bulbs were used in these builds? I cannot find that info in my invoice. theretrofitsource.com tells me they may have used H1 or D2S bulbs instead of the original H4 size.

Just trying to make sure before ordering!

What projectors do you have and I can easily tell you.

 

FX R 3" projector

According to my invoice

 

Mine had the Morimoto XB35 5500K H4

 

Invoice said:

- Brand New FX-R 3" Projectors
- G37 R shroud
- Blacked Out Paint Work
- Smoke Amber Reflector
- Brand New 35W Morimoto ballasts
- Brand New XB35 Morimoto Bulbs (5500k)
- Brand New Morimoto H4 Wiring Harness

 

Original box on the left which I got back in 2014(or 2015). Their new packaging on the right that I got in 2017. It’s D2S

 

Another pic of the new packaging. I say “new” because it’s new to me lol. I bought all spare parts for whenever my current ones poop out. They probably have new packaging saying gluten-free and gender neutral

Do the D2S work with the H4 wiring harness referenced in that invoice?

 

Lol such dumb shit circulating nowadays. And yes they’re suppose to. The guys that build our retrofits, let alone TRS, take care of all the guesswork for us

 

Hmmmm. Their site doesn't say that D2S is bixenon? But I have functioning low and hi beams.

H4 says its bixenon tho. This is where I get confused.
