Yes those are D2S. I highly recommend checking out the Osram CBI bulbs. You can get 15% off on lightwerkz site. They are actual OEM quality unlike morimoto or other Chinese parts.

Yes sir, they would be a direct replacement and huge upgrade imo. Assuming you have 35w ballasts, but if you are running 55w, I'd swap those to a 35watt.

I run 35w ballasts. Plenty bright! Going with 55w’s would be stupid bright! If you live near flat areas then it’ll be fine, but hills you’re blinding every-fuckin-body. Plus, 35w’s will have a longer life span

Yeah 35w has been plenty. Say, do you bulbs bounce/shake over bumps? Any tips to minimize this?

Yup since day one. I’ve gotten used to it cuz I read you’d have to take almost everything apart to remedy the cause. I got mine built by Andrew he LOADED the JB Weld. I also read that some vehicles with stock HID have the bounce too

You may be able to get the bulbs replaced under warranty. Hit up your builder, as they replaced one of my ballest last year when it went bad, under warranty. I had mine built in late 2015. Can also hit up retrofit solutions too. If the bulbs bad pull it, cut the wires about to warranty documentation, and send in pics for replacement. Worse they will say is you need to order, and they should be able to tell you exactly with the serial number.

They are no longer around from what I understand. I tried to contact Rad about getting my 2017 retrofitted and he stated he left due to personal reasons. They built my 2012 retrofits and I absolutely love them and they replaced one of my TRS ballast under warranty.

If you are looking for a high quality builder, check out lightwerkz. I had quite a few problems with these guys and literally took almost 12 months TO THE DAY to get a working set of headlights all AFTER shelling out about $1600+!! Lightwerkz did the set on my 2017 tacoma and it was 2 weeks to the day from the time I dropped em off at UPS till I had received them back. Haven't had a single issue and the work is so clean it looks like they came from the factory like this.

Thanks for the advice! I have reached out to the builder for info, but it has been radio silence. Apparently I am not the only one encountering this when trying to get in touch with them.

I isolated the issue to the relay harness. Called theretrofitsource and they would not do much besides tell me to order a new one. No big deal for $35. They did say if I had my original order # they would markdown the replacement...but after 5 days of not hearing back from builder I just ordered out of pocket.

I called and texted him about a relay I needed and he never got back to me. I ended up just paying for it myself since I couldn’t do the warranty with Morimoto
