What do u mean tune? I would think this is done post retro and after installed on vehicle?

 

When you tune a projector, you first swap the OEM lens for a clear lens. Then you'll fine tune it by spacing the lens forward by a few mm. Sometimes you'll have to space/tune the cutoff shield by either bending it forward/backward or installing a custom shield.

Basically you optimize the projector's performance by adjusting a few things. For example, here's my oem murano projector I was tuning.

Stock up top and tuned at the bottom with STI-R lens and paper spacers. Check out that hot spot. Yeah, RAD knows, J slopes ftw!

Sure is wild, and that wasn't even the final tune!

I think he said they tune some in house or have theretrofitsource tune them when the projectors are bought

We tune in house as all Muranos/TL aren't the same. We use to not get them tuned in house. Now we spend the extra time to get it dialed in just right.
