Ok so I loaded up and with the width and no more room it was on the road again. The truck GAWR sitting at 5300lbs and the R-Pod at 4220lbs..GCWR 9520...off we went. The truck handled it well doing 55-60 mph...which was the posted towing speed limit. Of course the up hills were slow with the big rigs passing me. There was no swaying, had pick up if needed...but the 12mpg was all I could get. Warning: avoid California with the $5.00 a gallon gas power outages and Smokey air. The 13 taco did the job, the complete tow package is nice. But the 2700lb dry weight was a great starting point for the trip. No mirror extensions needed was also very nice. I am 100000 miles so I’m going to take her in for a good check up. Thanks again for the handy advice and encouragement.

Don't be afraid to make it work. You should be able to maintain the speed limit over the passes. Also, it looks like your weight distribution hitch isn't properly set or you have too much stuff in the bed of your truck...it shouldn't squat like that.
