Did some cold weather Alaska camping. I had done down to 19* before, but wanted to test colder. It was -6* when we woke up. had the little buddy heater on full, was in a 10* sleeping bag and it wasn't too bad. CVT's pretty legit. all the canvas held up through being quite thoroughly frozen.

Might go in today and get an AAL. wife approved to go higher. i thought i'd be happy with just 1 inch, but it's not solving my bottoming out problems, and i think it would look pretty cool a little taller. new pics once i get them

a few weeks ago i infiltrated a jeep meet. my pastor invited me, but didn't explain there were going to be over 50 jeeps! i thought i was going to get shot. good trip though back to Knik glacier in Alaska.

made it all the way back to the glacier (can only really do that in a truck in the winter) That last picture is the huge ice heaves in front of the glacier. took like 4 hours to get back there with all those jeeps. some of them got stuck, but the Yoda didn't =D

How much lift do you have on that bad boy? I'm not familiar with the Bilstein height settings so I don't know. Also how are the trails out to the glacier? Are they really narrow, I go out to Jim Creek sometimes but I've never considered going all the way to the glacier because I've heard there's a lot of water crossings, or at this time of year I guess it'd be ice crossings. If so is the ice even thick enough right now do you think?

.85" in the front and i no kidding just finished putting in some skyjacker softride AAL. i think i'm sitting at around 1.5" in the rear? hard to tell because of my tent on the back weighin things down. measured about 38-38." from the floor to my fender (straight line through the hub with 265/70/17)

so i've been really busy with the truck this last week. first installed the AAL then decided the front needed to be lifted a little more. then when i went to get it aligned, they found my wheel bearing was out, so they couldn't align it until that was replaced (didn't feel that wobbly, but it was. they let me go back and shake it, lol). then i took the A/C blower motor apart and greased it up to get rid of that awful chirp. then i chopped off the exhaust pipe after the axle (it was already dented up from schwacking it on rocks/etc. so now the pics.

    with the 1 inch block
    [IMG]

with the AAL (fronts still set at .85 inch of lift)
there was a little bit of rake (about 1 inch) but this will be exaggerated (about 2 inches of rake) when i take the RTT off, so i wanted to level it now.

finally with the fronts at 1.75" and the AAL
    [IMG]

I really like how it sits now. from the fender, through the hub to the floor i'm measuring about 37.5" front and 38" rear
    [IMG]

it doesn't look like much, but here's a side by side to show stock vs now
    totally stock

Hatcher's pass. i think it was at mile marker 10? just a few miles past the gate that warns you "driving and camping beyond this point is not advised. severe cold weather may be encountered resulting in injury or death" lol.or something like that. it is a nice spot.
