R4 Tuning software crashing

Hey all, as it says in the description my r4 software for the URD 7th injector kit is crashing on me. After I select "open customer", choose my file and attempt to connect to the ecu the program crashes. I've tried all of my ports and I've tried running as an admin.

 

try reseting it and tuning from the default. if that dosent work plug it in to your computer and take a look

 

The problem is I can't get into the URD unit. It's as it came from the box.

 

oh. my 04 taco is the newest vehicle ive owned. ECU stuff is black magic to me

 

What version of windows?

Have u contacted gadget?

Windows 10. Have not contacted gadget either. On their site it says it should be compatible with windows 10.

 

Last i thought, r4 wanted 32bit xp or before.
Good to hear i was wrong or they updated the software.

Well, i guess the next move is calling gadget...... ext #3

 

Alrighty. I managed to get into contact with split second so hopefully they can help me out. I'll call gadget if that doesn't work lol

So the cable I'm using does not work. The driver for the USB to serial doesn't like the software for whatever reason.

 

Did they offer a suggestion?

Ive always had good luck with monoprice

 

They said anything that uses the FTDI driver

 

Shit i dont know what that even means, i aint gunna lie.
