I have SAW 2.5" coilovers and i love them! I was looking at Icons and Kings but found a great deal on some used SAW's on Racedezert. They ride great and give me about 2.5" of lift. I dont have after market UCA's and my truck rides and tracks great on the street and highway. If you get SAW's you will be happy with them, i dont have any complaints yet.

No problem man, keep a look out on here too in the buy sell trade section. It might take a while to find a good pair of used coilovers but trust me, the wait is worth it. Our trucks ride so much better with them on.

What kind of off roading do you do? I am also looking to get coilovers but can not decide what to get. If you would have not found such a good deal what brand would you have gone with and why?

Ya they are rebuildable, almost all coilovers are rebuildable. icons, king, racerunner/camburg, fox etc. Bilstein and Toytech are not rebuildable i believe, someone else feel free to chime in on this.

I do a bit of everything really, some higher speed roads and trails to some moderate climbing and hills. I dont push it to its limits though by any means, i respect my truck too much. Had i not found the deal on the SAW's i most likely would have saved up for a pair of Kings. I would have gone with King because they have a solid reputation, great customer service (i hear), and because i see alot of people running them so i assume they are pleased with them. Through my research i find that icon, racerunner, king are all so similar you will be fine picking any of them though.

Bilsteins are rebuildable, im not sure what toytec uses exactly but im pretty sure they are rebuildable. If you can take them apart, you can rebuild them

i'd suggest going with the saw 2.0 ..no need for a 2.5 unless you're doing sustained high speed stuff and no need to pay a premium for icons when the saws work just fine.

check out www.wheelers.com ..they usually have the best prices and customer service.

SAW's also come in the 2.5 but I have heard many good things about kings and agreed DSMS great group of guys. Just got off the phone with them answered all questions and gave me a great deal on kings. Now my question is what about Icon's anyone have something to say about them? Another thing I heard that the degressive style coilovers are better for daily driver and mild trail use apps, is this correct?

Ofcourse those will run better they have a resi, but for the price SAW's are great coilovers. As for rusting mine are rust free so idk anything about that.

Not exactly sure how they compare to ICON's, but I picked up these 2.5 SAWS for only $450. My truck is the 3rd Tacoma they've been on, and after DSM rebuilt them they rode great. They're from 2005 but completely blew out my bilstein 5100's and I don't baby these shocks. So they might be 6 years old with a little rust but no big deal, they perform great for the money I spent. A king extended travel shock w/ an external resi and 700# spring will obviously outperform any other coilover with an internal reservoir. That's the difference between spending $500 or $1500

1337Taco: So for a truck that is mostly on the road and off sometimes mostly on old log truck trails with ruts and holes a progressive coilover is better?

BenJammn5 & SENIOR TACOROJO: what kind of off-roading do you guys do? How do they perform on and off?

I am trying to find a coilover that will be nice on the road as well as off. I don't do anything hard core just stuff on the hunting lease and old torn up dirt roads, lots of ruts, holes, and some obsticles. I have looked at king, icon, and SAW
