Same thing as always for whoever you are whatever race you are & whatever race the cop is or however righteous you think your position is............DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD BY POLICE OFFICERS OR BRING BAD UNECESSARY SHIT UPON YOURSELF!!!!! Had this arrogant prick just shown his ID & complied with the officers request to come back outside then let him check out the house since there was a B&E reported which is why the officer was there to begin with there wouldn't have been an issue. When he didn't and acted a fool & pissed off the cop is when the race card shit started up. obama is a dipshit & has no place sticking his nose in local police matters even if this was his friend. He even contradicted himself on national TV saying he wasn't there & didn't know all the facts but he knows the cops acted stupidly. He is the one acting stupidly, the arrogant prick professor was the one acting stupidly. The cop owes no apology to anyone. The cop needs to file reverse discrimination against the professor guy & slander against obama. Such total bullshit! Again with people who cry about this type shit using it and causing it to themselves just to try and bust out with more see how it still exists everywhere mindlessness. Now don't get me wrong, it's still out there but all these people who try to still act like it's the slave days or civil rights rioting days are just not helping their cause & are so full of shit they need to just shut the fuck up. Ones like sharpton & obama's "preacher". I used quotes because someone who talks shit like obama's preacher has nothing to do with God & no place trying to speak about God's word or work.

I guess if a cop hadn't come quick enough & it had been an actual break in then the race card woulda come out for that too right? And I will capatilize the O when he starts trying to earn it.

 

I don't hold the cop at fault. Gates got what he deserved by disobeying orders and provoking the officer. He did play the race card in this instance and that is sad to see. Did the cop treat him that way because he was black, no. Were the police called in the first place because he was black, possibly. Nevertheless, one should always obey the police.

 

He was arrested for diorderly conduct after Gates yelled at and berated the officer in full view of the public. He did you follow direction and continued to use abusive language after coming out of the house. The arrest had little to do with the original B&E accusations.

 

It won't happen until the Black Community comes to grips and admits that they are just as racist as white people. All Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will never let that happen.

 

Don't leave out obama's preacher for 20 yrs(name not worth remembering)

 

Everybody is racist to some extent. It is the public display of racism that is the issue.

 

I strongly disagree. It's ridiculous with 20/20 hindsight. The house had just actually been burglarized (Gates admitted as much in the police report as he stated his door lock had been destroyed). There was a 911 call that was totally and entirely legitimate. Gates attitude toward people that were just doing their jobs FOR HIS BENEFIT was reprehensible. Gates and Obama owe American's apologies. I am betting you the Whitehouse is negotiating as I write this to suppress the audio tape of Gates rant. That's the way Obama works.

 

If i ever get pulled over, or threatend with arrest by a Black cop im pulling the race card and calling CNN

I was however disappointed with the President in that he started a statement with..."We don't know all the facts",and continued with....."The Cambridge Police acted 'stupidly'".You simply cannot pass judgement on either the individual or the Officers without a full investigation.

I also side with the cop he was just doing his job and gates pulled out the race card.....There are also statistics which I wont go into.

Chris,with all due respect,and I mean that sincerely,I think that there is true Racism and to me it's ugly and wrong.......Conversely,what else is ugly and wrong is when it is created and used at ones convienience.That behaviour perpetuates hate and intolerance.

 

EXACTLY!!! This is the point I try to get across to people as a police officer!! I dont "racially profile" I stop or detain the suspects who fit a certain description of one who has, or may have committed a crime!! Not only that but when youre right youre right! Stand up for it!! I hate how everyone lays down and says sorry for doing the right thing!! If you made a mistake say so, if not stand behind it!

 

Contradictory moronity at it's finest by the one person that shouldn't do that & it completely made everyone forget the medical care headway he tried to make. HAHA!
