    in my opinion, minorities have it better than caucasians. they have their own television stations, scholarships, etc. where i work at, we have to have a certain number of minorites, if not we get in trouble. so if we are hiring one person and need to meet our minority requirement, even if i am more qualified than the minority, the minority will get the job.

    heaven forbid we have a WET (white entertainment television) or a white only scholarship, sharpton and jackson would be throwing the race card out there so much i couldnt see straight. but its ok for minorities to do that.

    so i, a white american, feel we are not equal. minorities have it better and more protection.

    You have a valid point.......but I would add that Pride in Extremis can become very damaging. You don't rub your pride in the faces of others.....a la THE RACE CARD. As someone mentioned earlier, pride is no excuse for retribution.
