Rack And Pinion Bushing Replacement, raise truck?

    Reply to my own post. Went and bought a 22 mm socket that fit just right and I broke my breaker bar off at the knuckle. I am afraid to put much heat on this bolt as I don't want to destroy the bushing that is in there and not be able to replace it Cra_! Figures it is the last bolt holding everything together. I might have to put it back together and take it to a shop with air tools and have them loosen it for me. What a pain!

    Ok, I am old and can't see. The 22 mm nut on the middle of the rack is welded to the frame. The bolt comes off from above. I am quiting for the day since it's raining and I am disgusted with my self.

    Don't be too hard on yourself. I didn't break my breaker bar but I did try to break that nut loose. :eek:
