I would like to put a rack on my shortbed to transport SUPs which are over 14 feet. I do not think I can use a bed crossbar because the boards are just too long. I have seen some guys with first and second gens using the Xspoter and the like with mixed reviews but I'm not seeing any gen three-ers. Have any of all used/figured out how to transport SUPs or canoes?

Thule stated they should have the Xsporter 3rd gen rail mounts out soon.

I had a Trac Rac One for my '12, and it worked great. Home Depot had it for something like $215 and it held a ton of stuff. I cut down the uprights about 3" so they didn't stick up so high above the cab and bought some stainless metric cap screws for the mounting brackets to speed up installation. Some angle iron under the feet and bolted to the tracks with sliding nuts could be easily done.
