I just want to make sure I'm not alone in having an issue where the truck slows down when there is a curve in the freeway with a slow moving semi next to me.

I swear I have this happen 2-3 times a week. I'm in the #1 Lane doing 55, a semi is in the #2 Lane doing 35. The freeway starts a normal curve so the cc thinks I'm going to hit the semi. Granted I would if I decided to continue driving straight, but I'm in a curve. So it suddenly hits the brakes.

Luckily no one has been behind me, but it's puckered me up a couple times.

Yup. That's normal. Had the same issue on the wife's 2011 Grand Cherokee so I suspected my 2018 would do the same.

    And it does.

Solution: Don't use a cruise control that uses line of sight tech around corners. Turn it off or take it off cruise. Whe I drive our Highlander I turn it off for exactly the same reason.

    ...stuff
Also... don’t drive next to semis. Keep your distance, a good distance...

Press in the cruise engage button shaft and hold a little longer and it goes from radar cruise to a normal cruise. Radar cruise is annoying, dangerous. GTS Bruce

This is my fear every time I'm around a semi. I don't cut em off and I try to get past them quickly, and give them a huge berth. I've driven 40ft tractor/trailers on public roads, some people just don't get how much longer the stopping distance is on those things...

I've heard the radar issue before, not sure how'd I feel if my truck started doing that...
