I just have a Passport Escort Max 2 with the suction mount for the windshield and the wire plugged drooped across my dash.

I move the escort to my other cars so I don't really feel like doing a permanent job on the truck.

Yeah, I did that too for a while.
But then sometimes we'd use the other vehicle(s) and I'd forget, or was in a too much of a hurry and it stayed behind.
Not no more. We always use my truck, it's nice, comfortable, secure, lots of tonneau covered room for luggage, I like the ride and stability on or off road.
Oh! Did I mention I luv my truck? I will...
    Stay safe
    Cheers!

I use the mount that it comes with minus the suction cups. 3m hook and loop for about 4 bucks. Been there for about 6 years now.

Should only be 3. Black for ground and I think the others are orange and purple. Orange should be ignition power and purple is constant power. Truck is at the dealer getting an oil change I will look at my Valentine 1 setup when I get it back later today.

Mine is hooked up to ignition power so it turns on when the truck turns on.

A little Velcro strip and sit it on top of the rear view mirror. Then tapped the power using a mirror tap cable. I've always done this on my previous Tundras. It stays tucked up out of sight and does not move at all.

Here is my V1 + savvy installed. Took about 5 minutes, antenna horn is below the metallic black dots. Stuffed the wire into the headliner and ran it down the driver side A pillar. Also a pic of the savvy in the OBDII port. Stuffed the hub that comes off it behind the kick panel to the left.

That's a great deal. FWIW, usually when they have a price drop like that, you can call in and buy from Escort directly for the same $$. You can also get them to throw in the really good suction cup mount if you ask for it (refer to the picture above). It's much more solid than the little 3 suction cup mount that comes with it. You can leave that one in the case with the coiled cord for rental car use when you travel.

I haven't looked at this much yet, but does the plastic cover just slide down or pop off? I would assume you remove that, pin the detector, replace, and it's done?
