Radiator bug rock screen protector

Does anyone suggest a particular screen grill or radiator screen kit or do they made a specific kit for our trucks.

It seems for me that my radiator and AC condensor fins tend to get bent pretty bad and filled with tiny stones from the road mostly probably from winter sand. I must have spent two hours just trying to get some of this sand that’s wedged into the condensor fins out, but a good amount is wedged in there and not coming out

 

do you think a furnace filter element would hold up? i have never pelted little sand pieces at one to know the durability for the intended application

 

I went the expensive route (Cloudrider bug screen) for the bugs. Rocks too but not sand.
