While looking up a radiator cap for a 2009 Tacoma 4.0L came across several pressure listing.
    Either a 13 psi or 16 psi. Mine has a 108kPa marking = 15.66psi (or 16).
My production date is 06/2009 but listings show different pressure:
    1. Toyota 09/2004 - 01/2009 use 16401-5B630 superseded to 16401-31650 no pressure listed
(Stant 10242 lists as 16 psi for this date range)
    2. Toyota 02/2009-09/2011 use 16401-46610 superseded to 16401-30020 no pressure listed but the date range changed to 02/2009-07/2014
(Stant 10241 lists as 13 psi for this date range)

Other sites all list only 16psi caps.
Toyota also lists a TRD performance cap =18.5 psi
Specs call for my 06/2009 to get a 13 but have had a 16 for the last 10 years and a lower pressure means a lowing boiling point. Confused yet.

Anyone have any info such as actual pressures on the Toyota cap #s above?
(As a note 13 psi= 89.63 kPa and 16psi=110.62 kPa if yours is marked in kPa)

I'll be following this thread, as I'm over the 100K mark and may need to replace my radiator cap soon just as a preventative but have been eyeballing the TRD rad cap to supplement my system with the supercharger.

I just put a TRD cap on my 2013 v6. Its purty, but no difference in operating temps. Every little bit of added protection helps though

This is good to know actually! At this point there are so many manufacturers putting out garbage car parts that don't even work for their intended purpose so it's good to know the TRD one actually holds pressure, it's either between getting a new OE cap or the TRD one. I don't trust other manufacturers now after I've seen so many others defective right out of the box.
