Unable to purchase radiator flush in this area. It's all gone. Shelves empty. From Walmart to O'reilly's to Advance Auto ect ect... Gone. Been waiting for weeks. Nobody knows anything about future stock.

So... is there anything that could be made in the home lab that would do a fair job of cleaning out the system prior to putting in the Anti freeze?

If your coolant has always been Extra long life there's no need for chemical flushes. Use distilled water, drain, refill, run, repeat until coolant is clear.
Add 1 gallon full strength Asian extra long life and top off with distilled water.
You end up with 50/50 mix because a bit over 1 gallon stays in system.

    Simple flush and fill

    As mentioned above, distilled water.

    Cheap and easy.

Doesn't hurt to replace the thermostat; unsure on a 2.7 but on a 3.4, make sure you've got a deep socket!

Also replace the radiator cap just to have all new components as well as fluid.

And if you've got an auto, transmission fluid as well just because.

Also fill the reservoir to the lower mark on it's side. When engine is at operating temp the level should rise to top mark and fall to bottom mark when engine has cooled.

Been thinking about the thermostat. Just did the transmission and differential. All good!

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
i have been using Calgon The stuff used in dish washers for years .

Works great Cheap just heat and flush to clean water comes out.

If your cooling system is not bad just plain distilled water .
