All right. I feel dumb because I can't find any threads answering this question, but.... I've got a slow drip-drip leak at the block side of the radiator hoses. Fine, no big deal. Truck's old enough to buy itself a beer, a hose or two going bad is hardly worth losing sleep over. However, I'm running myself in circles figuring out:

    A) Should I replace the hose clamps while I'm replacing the hoses? I lean towards "Yes, get it over with. They're damned cheap".

    B) What the hell is the part number? Yotashop says it's 90467-37005, but a few other parts websites only list that clamp for the 2nd and 3rd gen.

    Much appreciated.

Spring clamps? You can re-use those as long as they're not rusty or deformed

Partsouq has them for ~$3 each. The ones on the truck are probably fine, but fuck it. Peace of mind is worth $12.

Any reason you can't just use a quality stainless hose clamp, found locally?

I've got no clue what the dimensions are, and I don't like worm gear clamps for radiator hoses. I'm sure they work fine if you install them properly, but I'm in a financial position where $25 (shipped) for all 4 replacement clamps is worth the peace of mind.

It’s a no-brainer for most of us old farts. I change over to traditional hose clamps as soon as I can. I even started using the German style clamps - instead of holes they have ridges on the outside. They used to be quite pricey but have gone done in price.

Stay away from those worm clamps
Your old constant tension clamps are likely ok
Replace hose if the old hose has serious indentations of the old clamp
I had a leaky upper hose some time ago
What I found when I removed hose was an exceptional amount of cruddy build up under the hose where it mates to the metal
Had to carefully razor blade it off and smooth it out.
New OEM hose, same old clamp and weep free for years and over 100k miles
Same thing happened with the lower hose a couple years after top hose

Odds are your hose maybe also has this cruddy buildup that allows weepage underneath the clamp :notsure:

It had that buildup. I wire-brushed it all off. Must have been sealing the old hose + its internal scale to the mating surface. Ah well. Lesson learned, new hoses ordered. I'll get out in front of it next time.

Is the lower hose doing the same?

Lower had a bunch of white crud flake off and is the same age as the upper hose. It's not dripping yet, but I doubt it's far behind.
