Is your oil coolant free and your coolant oil free?

I had to ask before someone else did.

Your miles are low for a 13 yr. old vehicle, but age is age. Lower than avg. mileage is no guarantee anything is good.

I just did my hoses along with a water pump at 175k. Both not needed, but wanted to get it done before it became a problem. Id do the same if I were you due to age. I noticed the aftermarket ones look like shit. They look older than the factory ones. I like the factory stuff... Order them from camelback toyota in arizona online. Great prices.

Yep - pop a coolant hose and you might be out a lot more than the hose.

I think your OE hoses did a great job of lasting this long so I'd stick with that. I replaced mine last year with OEM hoses and thermostat.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Hoses that are molded I find OE to always be a better fit.

Hoses that are just lengths of material, NAPA stuff works fine.

You can get a cheap cigarette lighter voltmeter to watch the alternator or use a hand held volt meter on the battery every so often. Alternators tend to slowly drop over a period of time but you probably won't notice unless you're checking. For the starter, you can replace the contacts inside it for about $30, that is usually what wears out.
