I recently purchased an all-pro Baha bumper and my stock radiator hangs too low. I see there are a few options they recommend for replacements, but I was wondering if there are any all-aluminum radiators in the same sub $180 price range that would fit the 3.4 and have a trans cooler.

Are you sure you need to swap? I only needed to trim the front corners of my radiator a little bit with a grinder when I installed mine. It’s just plastic.

How old is your Radiator is it time for a new one.

Just what is interfering on the bumper that can`t be adjusted ?

Is the bumper not made for your truck??

How much smaller does the Radiator need to be to clear the bumper ??

It’s the auto radiator, it really was just a small amount of trimming.

My bumper will be here in a few days and when I called they said you need to replace the radiator if it hangs below the frame rails. If all I need to do is trip some plastic that will save me some money, thanks.

Does that bumper have the non-typical skid plate mounts? I know a lot of bumpers try to use the stock skid plate locations, and I think the All Pro ones try to stay low profile so it has different mounts and thus requires a "special" skid plate.

I found a pic from yotamasters selling the Baja, and you can see in the pic of their Taco they have, the rad is below the frame.

Not the same bumper or anything, but you can see in this pic for the skid plate I built, I had to project the plate straight down, then back so it wouldn't hit the rad. You can just barely see the rad at the top. This is the V6 auto rad...

I’ve attached a few photos, trimmed in front of the bolt at a 45° roughly.
Sorry for crappy cell phone pics

Nice I’m gonna go with the spray on bed liner, not sure how well it’s gonna hold up.

I’ve had the best luck with line-x and monstaliner, tried several brands.

I actually trimmed a small part of the bumper itself to clear the radiator. I dont feel it really compromised any strength of the bumper or anything.

Just finished mounting an all pro baja bumper on my '01 V6 and I will say that Denso's auto radiator (part #2213138) did not fit at all inside that lower radiator guard. I ended up needing to cut a roughly 1 1/4" x 3" notch into the sides of the guard to get it to fit in there. It's dark now so no pics yet.

It's a well-built bumper but a horrific lack of foresight in designing the radiator guard; issue could have easily been avoided for all radiators by widening the guard 1" on either side and wouldn't have conflicted with any other parts. For anyone looking to buy this bumper, it seems there's a lot of variation in the core support from truck to truck so this may not be an issue for everyone with an auto radiator, but it is something to be aware of as a possibility.

I have a 3.4l v6 and I replaced my radiator with a 2.7l 4-banger radiator. Drops right in and no issues with overheating. I don't have your bumper but if you look at my build thread. Look for pics of my skid plate and bumper. The 2.7l radiator sits higher and it should have room for your bumper.

Here's the cutout I needed to make to fit the Denso. Not the prettiest but it fits and covers the plastic
