You don’t have any nearby dealers in Virginia? FWIW Harrison haven’t been available for a long time.

FWIW I got the Denso last year on Rockauto and it's been good for me.. not built like the OEM one, has a little more adjustment to make it fit right but whatever, It has been solid.

Denso is all you will ever need for those 1st gens. Seriously. Aftermarket support will be around for many many moons for the 1st gens, perhaps even long after the ones which do currently remain on the road rot up.

Given that Toyota was in bed with GM back in that era and GM bought Harrison out, it comes to no surprise at all that they one bought the other.

    Seriously.....you're surprised????

How long would you expect OEM to carry parts?

Frankly, most vehicles don't last past 10-12 years. Many things cause the demise, accidents, maintenance, high mileage, worn out........

It also becomes a capitol burden to carry inventory for the <10% of surviving machines. Then the problem to determine which parts should be stocked.

Get the Aftermarket radiator.......or find a radiator shop to rebuild/repair your current unit.

If the issue is quality Buy a Koyo all aluminum. WAY Better than OEM. No bullshit crimped plastic top/bottom. Etc.

    This isn’t difficult.

Otherwise I can sell you an OEM I bought a few years back that’s weeping past where the core is CRIMPED TO PLASTIC. It’s basically a brand new OEM unit. $150 shipped.

Does the Koyo fit like the OEM one? Does it have the trans cooler built in? What is the model number? TIA.

Koyo is legit. As is Denso. Can't go wrong with either.

theres two versions. OE style and the all aluminum one that advertised for the 3rd gen 4Runner.

I have the all aluminum one. It fits perfectly but you need a remote trans cooler. Not a big deal at all. You just have to make a bracket for the trans cooler. The Tru-Cool comes with brackets you can bend yourself. If I can remember I’ll post my setup tomorrow.

US federal law requires auto manufacturers to supply parts for only 10 years. Beyond that it’s up to the manufacturers.

Looks like it doesn't have a trans cooler built in. I'm looking for just a plug and play one if possible.
Do your trans temp get up there without it being in the rad? That's my biggest concern and I would rather have something that is straight plug and play.

If you live where the temps are moderate year round, like the southern and south west US, an external only setup is fine. If you live where winter is real, an external only setup will struggle to get up to correct fluid temps and you are better off having the help of the radiator to get the trans fluid up to temp.

There is a 1st gen Tacoma specific Koyorad as well that released in December. Mine cracked in 4 months. Your mileage may vary.
